Define Your “Needs” vs. Your “Wants”
This step keeps your search focused and frustration low.   What you NEED (non-negotiables):
  • Handicap or mobility accessibility
  • Number of bedrooms or bathrooms
  • Yard or space for animals
  • Proximity to work, schools, or family
  What you WANT (flexible features):
  • Garage (can one be added later?)
  • Paint colors or flooring (cosmetic changes are easy!)
  • Updated fixtures or finishes
Understanding what can be changed versus what cannot helps you spot potential—and avoid passing up a great home.
