Dannie Hess
Dannie Hess founded Hess Auction Co., LLC (originally “Dannie Hess & Associates”) in 1954 and dedicated himself to auctioneering full-time from the very beginning. In the early 1960s, he earned his real estate salesman’s license and went on to successfully sell properties both at private treaty and through auction. His broad experience made him a trusted advisor for clients navigating real estate and auctions.
Dannie retired in 2005, and in January 2008, he was honored with induction into the Ohio Auctioneers Hall of Fame. He passed away on January 2, 2010, at the age of 81, after a long battle with heart and kidney issues. Dannie’s drive, expertise, and commitment to his career live on, as three generations of his family proudly carry forward his legacy in the auction and real estate business today.
